Key Responsibilities:

  1. Take charge of formulating and executing effective strategies for resolving international commercial and employment-related disputes and litigation.
  2. Provide innovative legal solutions and tactical counsel to address complex challenges faced by Jabil's global business units promptly.
  3. Lead investigations and collaborate with various departments to enhance Jabil's investigative procedures.
  4. Manage competing priorities, set clear objectives with internal stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery of results.
  5. Utilize sound judgment to assess and communicate legal risks and advantages.
  6. Collaborate closely with legal teams and business stakeholders to develop, review, and advise on policies and procedures.
  7. Proactively oversee commercial and labor-related litigation, including pre-litigation disputes and claims.
  8. Effectively manage external legal counsel, including engagement, document management, discovery, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  9. Identify and mitigate legal risks by creating and delivering training programs for business leaders on relevant laws and best practices.
  10. Draft various legal documents, including demand letters, pleadings, and settlement agreements.

Qualifications:

  1. J.D. or equivalent legal degree and active membership in a State Bar.
  2. 8-11 years of litigation experience, ideally in both law firm and corporate environments within a global industrial context.
  3. Strong understanding of civil procedures and the discovery process.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders, demonstrating fluency in business principles.
  5. Experience in applying a business-oriented approach to legal problem-solving while recognizing legal complexities.
  6. Proven expertise in litigation management across multiple jurisdictions with minimal oversight.
  7. Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives aligned with corporate objectives and risk management needs.
  8. Experience in budget management and collaboration with external counsel to achieve strategic outcomes.
  9. High integrity and ethical standards, coupled with strong analytical and writing skills.
  10. Ability to make informed decisions and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  11. Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, meeting both short- and long-term deadlines.
  12. Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple complex legal issues simultaneously.
  13. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all organizational levels.
  14. Sound judgment, confidence, and a strong professional demeanor, with a collaborative spirit.
  15. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in international litigation is advantageous.
  2. Proficiency in a second language, such as Spanish or Mandarin, is a plus.
