As an Engineering Project Manager within our team, you will be instrumental in managing strategic capital enhancements and specialized initiatives. Collaborating closely with the Director of Engineering, your responsibilities will encompass project oversight, budget management, and sustainability strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct intricate engineering initiatives aimed at new production lines, capital expenditures, and efficiency improvement projects.
  • Assess proposals for capital projects and engage in the selection of optimal vendors or contractors for each assignment.
  • Oversee and regulate capital expenditures, from initial budgeting through to final financial tracking.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Operations team regarding any project delays or budget modifications.
  • Set and comply with project timelines, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
  • Manage external vendors and contractors to ensure safety protocols are followed throughout project implementation.
  • Promote clear and consistent communication among project team members, Operations staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Work alongside the Director of Engineering to provide additional support for company-wide engineering initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or food science.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical role with an emphasis on project engineering.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD software.
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Comprehensive understanding of food processing operations and technologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards pertaining to food safety and equipment.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities, adept at managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics and results effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly to team members.
