Transportation Engineer Job Description

Egis US is seeking a skilled Transportation Engineer to join our Wixom, MI office. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on projects for local and state agencies, utilizing your expertise in roadway design, drainage design, and utility design.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform design tasks and develop project quantities and cost estimates
  • Assist in direct marketing efforts, including proposal writing and trade show/conference attendance
  • Work within a team to develop and design roadway projects for state and local clients
  • Develop and review plans and computations to ensure quality and accuracy of the design work and construction plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 3+ years of experience in MDOT roadway design or local road design
  • Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and OpenRoads
  • Project management experience is a plus
