Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician I to join our team at Belcan Services Group Ltd Partnership. As a Mechanical Technician I, you will be responsible for providing support in the disassembly, cleaning, inspection/maintenance, and repair of main engine fuel pumps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the disassembly, cleaning, inspection/maintenance of main engine fuel pumps in accordance with CMM guidelines and specifications.
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to resolve problems and restore functionality.
  • Operate inspection equipment, hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively to perform mechanical tasks such as disassembly, cleaning, polishing, vapor blasting, part inspection, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history, documenting findings, actions taken, and parts used.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations while performing mechanical tasks, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Assist in the inventory management of mechanical parts, tools, and supplies as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical principles, systems, and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret component maintenance manual and other technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing mechanical tasks and inspections.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vocational training or certification in mechanical technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
