About the Role

Natchaug Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead our Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Leader to facilitate admissions, internal and external patient transfers.
  • Act as a decision-maker for placement of all admissions and inter/intra facility transfers.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the unit by establishing priorities, eliminating impediments, and resolving problems.
  • Ensure the voice of the patient is central and present in decision-making.
  • Model teamwork and collaboration within and outside the department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Master's preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut required.
  • Three years of acute care charge or supervisory experience required, with at least one year of experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
  • Progressive leadership experience.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians, managers, other agencies, and the public.
