Position Overview

Role Responsibilities

As an Instructor specializing in upper-level mathematics, your core duties will include:

  • Delivering instruction using Sylvan's proprietary programs
  • Engaging and motivating students during instructional sessions
  • Recognizing and rewarding students for their achievements
  • Assessing and documenting student progress
  • Communicating student requirements to the center director
  • Inspiring students and cultivating a positive learning atmosphere
  • Building rapport with students to enhance their educational experience
  • Exhibiting enthusiasm for teaching and for the Sylvan Learning approach
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or be in the process of obtaining one
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in teaching or tutoring calculus, algebra 1 & 2, geometry, and trigonometry
  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
