About the Role

Simploy, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Specialist to join our team at our Urgent Care facility as we expand into Primary Care and Diabetes treatment.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification with the appropriate regulatory body, with previous experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting preferred.

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and make clinical decisions within the scope of practice, with excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients with urgent medical needs, including minor illnesses, injuries, and common medical conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans for various acute conditions, such as respiratory infections, fractures, lacerations, and allergic reactions.
  • Perform or assist with minor medical procedures, including wound suturing, splinting, and abscess drainage.
  • Prescribe medications, including appropriate dosage and patient education on medication use and potential side effects.
  • Provide patient education on illness prevention, health maintenance, and overall wellness.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and medical assistants, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patient encounters.
  • Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional guidelines and standards within the scope of practice.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in urgent care medicine through continuous education and professional development.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Previous experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions within the scope of practice.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and urgent medical cases.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record systems.
  • Commitment to ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical healthcare practices.
