Position Overview
As a Vascular Imaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the Cardiovascular Imaging department, performing essential diagnostic procedures to identify peripheral vascular conditions.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Occasional Saturday mornings, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vascular diagnostic tests to assess and identify peripheral vascular disease or blockages.
- Evaluate patients to determine the most effective diagnostic procedures while adhering to regulatory standards.
- Document patient test results accurately and communicate findings to the medical team.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the testing process, notifying physicians of any abnormalities.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring all tools are functional and reporting any issues promptly.
- Position patients correctly and select appropriate technical parameters for imaging.
- Comply with all regulatory agency standards to ensure high-quality imaging and documentation.
- Assist in keeping the department organized and clean, including all procedure and storage areas.
Qualifications
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Current BLS certification required within one month of hire.
- One or more of the following credentials is required within one year of hire:
- Cardiographic Technician certification from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Radiologic Technologist certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Medical Sonographer certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Sonography Technician certification.
- Vascular Sonography certification from the ARDMS.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent with two years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or four years of applicable experience.
