Job Summary

The Building Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 100 unit family residence. This role requires strong customer service skills, effective communication, and the ability to supervise and train staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train a porter to carry out maintenance and repairs.
  • Respond to work order requests from residents and the Property Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with building safety and security codes.
  • Manage and perform preventative maintenance services.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly physical inspections of common areas and units.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of comparable work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of painting, electrical wiring, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
  • Basic math skills and ability to work with multiple deadlines.

The Building Superintendent will work one weekend day and will be required to work with multiple deadlines. The starting salary is $50,000 - $54,000 depending on experience and skills, with a free 2-bedroom apartment including utilities, and full health benefits for the employee.
