Job Opportunity: Swim Instructor

British Swim School of West Portland Suburbs is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach children and adults how to swim, using our fun and progressive methods.

Responsibilities:
  • Instruct swimming lessons to children and adults, starting at 3 months old
  • Report directly to and support the Aquatics Manager and/or Business Owner(s)
  • Minimum 9 hours of work per week, including evenings on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, equivalent, or in the process of completion
  • Enthusiastic personality and comfortable in and around the water
  • Strong swimming skills are a plus, but can be taught and developed
  • Must maintain certifications throughout employment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children is preferred but not required
  • Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred, but can be obtained during training
  • Customer service skills are desirable
Locations & Schedules:

Our locations and schedules are as follows:

  • 24 Hour Tanasbourne: Thursdays & Fridays, 3:15 PM - 8:15 PM; Saturdays & Sundays, 9:15 AM - 2:45 PM
  • Aloft Hillsboro-Beaverton: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, 3:15 PM - 7:45 PM
  • 24 Hours Hillsboro: Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 3:15 PM - 7:45 PM; Sundays, 9 AM - 2:15 PM
