Job Title: Registered Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Dentserv Dental Services. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform a full range of dental hygienist procedures, including surveillance and preventive services, and document all procedures performed and care provided.
  • Refer residents/patients to the dentist for consultative opinions and continuation of care.
  • Review and complete preliminary dental examinations for new residents/patients and recall periodontal residents/patients.
  • Examine teeth and surrounding tissues for evidence of caries, periodontal disease, and record findings.
  • Expose, develop, and interpret radiographs to identify tooth structure, periodontal support, and other abnormalities.
  • Develop dental hygiene treatment plans for residents/patients.
  • Perform complete oral prophylaxis and non-surgical periodontal treatment on residents/patients using ultrasonic and hand instruments.
  • Polish teeth and apply disclosing solutions, fluorides, desensitizing agents, and other topical medications to the teeth for the purpose of controlling caries and dental hypersensitivity.
  • Clean and polish and mark removable dental appliances worn by residents/patients.
  • Participate in the In-Service Education Program.
  • Cooperate with other members of the multi-disciplinary health team.
Requirements:
  • Current NYS Dental Hygiene License.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of professionals and patients.
  • Computer literate and familiar with Electronic Dental/Medical Record programs.
  • A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics.
