Job Summary

PlanetHealthcare is seeking a skilled Travel Sonographer to join our team in a travel position in Iowa. As a Travel Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology to produce high-quality images of the body's internal structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of the body's internal structures
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including explaining the procedure and positioning the patient
  • Conduct imaging procedures, including ultrasound, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound
  • Analyze images to identify any abnormalities or issues
  • Communicate results to patients and healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and imaging results
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • Current certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in diagnostic imaging, preferably in a travel or per diem position
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
