Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Piedmont Triad Regional Council. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to facilities, grounds, and fleet equipment
- Deliver supplies and materials to our offices and store them in proper storage areas
- Repair, assemble, and install furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Refill soap dispensers, maintain toilet flush valve functionality, and replace batteries on automated devices
- Replace light bulbs, spot clean carpeted areas, and maintain the cleanliness of trash dumpster sites
- Coordinate with vendors for annual system inspections and preventative maintenance
- Monitor and coordinate the work of contracted landscaping and grounds maintenance crews
- Perform elevator fire service monthly recall tests and record data in logbooks
- Respond to miscellaneous staff requests for office maintenance tasks
- Five years of building maintenance experience in a business, hotel, or apartment setting
- Minor plumbing and electrical experience
- Strong background in carpentry
- Able to facilitate and coordinate lawn care, HVAC, and other sub-contractors
- Able to use Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift 50lbs
We offer a flexible 30-hour position with full-time benefits, including NC Local Governmental Employee's Retirement System and participation in PSLFP. If you are selected for this role, you will need to present a valid North Carolina Driver's License and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background screening process.
