Saviance is a technology consulting firm seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Wilmington, MA. We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year.

About the Job
The ideal candidate will have experience architecting, developing and maintaining software for machine controls and Client electro-mechanical systems from concept to production. The job duties include designing and implementing HMI (GUI) and backend code for complex control systems with some interfaces and real-time code in C++., developing visualizations of 3D and 2D images and CAD models in near-real time using C++, Direct2D/Direct3D, or similar technologies., working on near real-time image processing using Direct2D/Direct3D, CUDA and/or other GPU accelerated technologies., supporting, maintaining, and documenting software functionality.

Required Skills
Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD), demonstrated expert-level experience with C# .NET and Winforms (preferred), experience designing / developing GUI / HMI systems for complex control systems, experience developing code using DirectX/2D/3D and/or CUDA/OpenCL, experience with software configuration management and source control systems (i.e. Mercurial), ability to independently and effectively debug complex software in C++ (and preferably PLC) environments, understanding of common industrial automation paradigms (communication buses, actuators / sensors, motion, fail-safe behavior, realtime, etc.), ability to work in a collaborative environment, strong analytical and communication skills.
