Job Title: Physician Assistant - Surgery/Colon & Rectal Group

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Surgery/Colon & Rectal group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our team of physicians and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in OR, endoscopy, and outpatient clinic settings
  • Perform docking and undocking of robotic surgery for colorectal diseases
  • Educate and care for in- and out-patients with colostomy and/or ileostomy
  • Assist with office procedures for outpatients with anorectal diseases
  • Coordinate with the GI team care of IBD patients
  • Screen HIV and/or HPV patients with high-resolution anoscopy
  • Follow-up on results of tumor markers, imaging, and other workup testing of colorectal cancer patients
Qualifications:
  • Physician Assistant certification/license
  • Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant
  • Current certification issued by the NCCPA
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • ACLS/BLS certification
