Position Overview

We are looking for a proficient Laboratory Systems Engineer to become a vital member of our team, providing technical knowledge and operational assistance within our secure computing laboratory setting. The Laboratory Systems Engineer will be instrumental in maintaining the functionality, optimization, and security of critical mission systems and equipment to fulfill both organizational and governmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Setup and Upkeep: Configure, install, and sustain hardware and software systems within the secure computing laboratory.
  • Technical Assistance: Offer technical support for laboratory operations, which includes diagnosing hardware and software challenges, executing system upgrades, and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment.
  • Evaluation and Testing: Perform testing, assessment, and validation of new hardware and software solutions in line with project specifications and requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive documentation of laboratory configurations, procedures, test outcomes, and equipment inventory to support operational functions and audits.
  • Quality Control: Engage in quality control processes to guarantee the reliability, performance, and security of systems and services.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in laboratory engineering, systems administration, or related technical positions.
  • Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting hardware components, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Possession of TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Certification requirements fulfilled in accordance with DoD M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
