Paralegal Specialist

MWH Constructors, a global leader in heavy civil construction of water and wastewater facilities, is seeking a Paralegal Specialist to join its Legal Department in Broomfield, Colorado. The Paralegal Specialist will perform general legal department activities and responsibilities related to corporate governance, claims, insurance, and risk management. Key Responsibilities:

Support the Legal Department processes and corporate compliance.
Review, process, and maintain legal files and department records.
Review and analyze all hard copy and electronic files of project documentation.
Work with attorneys and department paraprofessionals, and corporate management, engineers, and administration as required.
Conduct fact-gathering interviews with employees on claims.
Other miscellaneous duties to support project teams.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience with a broad knowledge of contracting, corporate, and law office management.
Four-year degree in legal studies, business administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of experience, skills, and training.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility with tasks assigned.
Proactive in finding cost-effective and efficient process solutions.
Willingness to learn.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

In-house experience with a construction contractor.
Experience with insurance, licensing, annual business filings, contracts a plus.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000/yr., based on experience.
