About the Role

Mortenson is seeking a seasoned Senior Planning and Scheduling Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating site teams and trade partners in the development of project schedules using common CPM scheduling programs on large, complex, or multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Schedule Development: Lead the development of project schedules using CPM scheduling programs, ensuring accurate and timely completion of projects.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate and lead site teams and trade partners to ensure effective project execution and schedule adherence.
  • Mitigation Planning: Identify and develop mitigation options to correct scheduling problems on projects, working closely with site management to implement effective solutions.
  • Training and Development: Coach, mentor, and train other team members in scheduling methods and best practices.
  • Proposal Support: Collaborate with Business Development to develop successful project pursuit strategies, including project schedule development.
  • Corporate Initiatives: Participate in corporate planning and scheduling improvement initiatives, sharing best practices and expertise with the team.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of twelve (12) years of construction experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Scheduling Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software.
  • Project Management: Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices, project sequencing, and installation methods.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to exercise creativity and mature judgment in anticipating, identifying, and solving unprecedented problems on complex projects.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and rapport-building skills, with ability to manage the work of others and deliver exceptional customer experience.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent field.
