Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at CVC Northern Michigan. As a key member of our cardiovascular practice, you will provide high-quality diagnostic images to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound examinations of the heart and peripheral vascular system in accordance with CVCNM protocols
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, assisting with transfers, and positioning patients properly
  • Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information, verify accuracy of diagnostic orders
  • Document ultrasound findings and communicate them to medical staff in accordance with protocols
  • Ensure ultrasound equipment is clean, maintained, and in good working order
  • Manage supplies and stock rooms as needed
  • Maintain a clean and orderly exam/procedure rooms, common areas, and workspace

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • One year of experience in diagnostic ultrasound imaging (preferred)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 180 days of hire
  • ARDMS or CCI registered in Vascular sonography Echo/Vascular (preferred)
