About the Role

Gallagher is seeking a skilled Contract Analyst to join our team. As a Contract Analyst, you will play a critical role in preparing and negotiating contracts with clients and markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare draft contracts, endorsements, and other documents for clients and markets.
  • Discuss contract issues with broker teams and facilitate the negotiation of contract language.
  • Maintain contract and correspondence files in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Work with contracts administrative staff, brokers, reinsurers, and clients to ensure timely execution of reinsurance contracts.
  • Document the status of contract documentation in the firm's document tracking systems.
  • Contribute to projects focused on the development of contracts department resources and outreach to extradepartmental colleagues.
  • Contribute to intradepartmental discourse on insurance and reinsurance topics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and at least two years of experience in the contract writing department of a reinsurance broker, reinsurance underwriter, or ceding company.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reinsurance contracts for various lines and programs.
  • Understanding and assimilation of industry developments, such as new lines of insurance, reinsurance structures, regulations, business processes, etc.
  • Excellent writing skills and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to present information to and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience with document management and workflow systems is a plus.
