We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Piedmont Healthcare. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing and record scoring of data to ensure high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare for patient testing, including setting up equipment and ensuring accurate data collection.
- Perform polysomnograms, CPAP/BiPAP/ASV titrations, NPSG/SPLIT studies, and multiple sleep latency testing.
- Prepare, score, and complete documentation of sleep studies, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
- Maintain supplies and diagnostic equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
- Manage patient charts and files, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced technologists, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Adhere to continuing education requirements, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in sleep medicine.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1-3 years experience in Polysomnography, EEG, or Respiratory Therapy.
- Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
- Some college coursework in basic science of sleep medicine preferred.
- Good customer relations and communications skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- BLS Certification.
- Basic EKG recognition.
