Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Piedmont Healthcare. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing and record scoring of data to ensure high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for patient testing, including setting up equipment and ensuring accurate data collection.
  • Perform polysomnograms, CPAP/BiPAP/ASV titrations, NPSG/SPLIT studies, and multiple sleep latency testing.
  • Prepare, score, and complete documentation of sleep studies, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Maintain supplies and diagnostic equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
  • Manage patient charts and files, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced technologists, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Adhere to continuing education requirements, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in sleep medicine.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years experience in Polysomnography, EEG, or Respiratory Therapy.
  • Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
  • Some college coursework in basic science of sleep medicine preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good customer relations and communications skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Basic EKG recognition.
