About the Facility:

  • Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is a well-equipped 83-bed acute care facility providing a range of services including Cardiology, Emergency Services, and General Surgery.
  • We foster a collaborative environment where every team member plays a vital role in delivering compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver care in both outpatient and acute care settings, approximately 50% of the time in each.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of patients' conditions.
  • Develop, adjust, and assess individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions using established physical therapy techniques tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and support staff.
  • Educate patients, families, and colleagues to facilitate the achievement of treatment objectives.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient interactions and personal records.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives related to departmental and network operations.
  • Participate in the recruitment of new team members and contribute to peer performance evaluations.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned and may be required to be available for on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current license to practice Physical Therapy in Texas or eligibility to obtain prior to employment.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in the field.
