Job Summary

The Groomer is a key member of our team at Old Mill Boarding Kennel and Grooming, providing quality care to pets and building lasting relationships with customers.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and uphold our core values and mission statement.
  • Admit pets to be groomed, noting owner's specific instructions, contact information, and pick-up time.
  • Bathing, brushing, heavy lifting, shaving, and scissor trimming of pets to be groomed.
  • Ear cleaning, plucking, nail trimming, and expression of anal glands.
  • Provide medicated and general cleansing, parasite control baths, pedicures, medicated dips, and ear cleansing, as required for each pet.
  • Perform all general maintenance of the grooming room and yard, including cleaning and disinfecting cages, tubs, grooming tables, and yard at least once daily.
Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge in pet grooming and canine health.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous grooming experience is required.
