Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. This role is responsible for operating industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices, such as forklifts, boom lifts, and pallet jacks, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the loading and unloading of products in trailers
  • Distribute pallets of product from the palletizer to distribution trailers and staging areas
  • Stage materials for production
  • Move product and materials within facility (plant and/or cooler)
  • Receive materials for warehouse storage
  • Supply packaging material, cartons, and hulls to line as needed
  • Maintain pallet supply for palletizer
  • Rotate packaging and ingredients using FIFO (First In – First Out)
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format, and completed with required information
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • A valid forklift operator certification
