Career Opportunity:

Crystal Stairs, Inc. is seeking an experienced Information Technology Director to lead our technology initiatives and ensure the effective, efficient, and secure operation of our organizational technology.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate as a member of the senior management team in governance processes of the organization's architecture, telecommunications, networks, programming, media, and desktops.
  2. Lead strategic technological and operational support planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies and support systems.
  3. Assess and communicate risks associated with technology-related investments and purchases.
  4. Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.
  5. Define and communicate corporate procedures, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating new network systems, equipment, software, and other technologies and systems.
  6. Prioritize and control approved projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information technology support systems.
  7. Track and control the technical and support services annual operating and capital budgets for IT operations.
  8. Ensure continuous delivery of technical and support services through oversight of service levels with end users and monitoring of systems, programs, and equipment performance.
  9. Develop policies and procedures to ensure departmental effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws and agency policies.
  10. Oversee development of long-range plans with regards to space planning, designs, technological, and other capital layout requirements to ensure that resources are aligned to assist the agency in meeting its strategic business objectives.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, MIS, or related field required. Master's Degree preferred; extensive technical and supervisory experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience managing and/or directing technological and support operations.
  • 8-10 years experience working in the information technology industry with experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development.
  • Must have 5 years verifiable experience as a manager of technical and non-technical teams.
  • Extensive experience in Windows network administration.
  • Requires excellent knowledge of technology and support environments, including telecommunications, networks, programming, media, and desktops, solid understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities coupled with extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems, including decision support systems and technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support.
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles and proven experience in planning, organization, and development required.
