Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a Registered Nurse at Ridgecrest Health and Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment and Planning
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Medication Administration
- Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Patient Education
- Provide education to patients and their families on surgical procedures, medications, and other aspects of their care.
- Documentation and Communication
- Accurately document patients' medical information and vital signs, and communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
- Specialized Care
- Provide bedside care for a wide range of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients, and perform tasks such as changing dressings and inserting catheters.
- Discharge Planning
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition of care for patients.
Requirements
- Education and Licensure
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Certifications and Skills
- Current/active CPR certification.
- Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to lift 50 pounds or more and stand/walk for more than four hours per day.
