Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at PrimeCare Medical, Inc. in Leesport, PA.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site mental health care to inmates at the Berks County Jail. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of on-site care per week, with a mix of evening and day shifts.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one intervention and follow-up of inmates/patients with substance abuse issues
  • Collaborate with facility administration to develop treatment plans and monitor progress
  • Facilitate admission and placement of inmates/patients in forensic and community mental health facilities
  • Initiate required paperwork for inmate/patient entry
  • Monitor and document treatment responses of inmates/patients
  • Evaluate psychological status of inmates/patients referred by primary treatment providers
  • Ensure compliance with NCCHC/ACA and accepted psychiatric/psychological standards
Requirements:
  • Licensed to practice Psychology in the State of Pennsylvania (Post Doc also)
  • Graduate of an accredited institution of higher education, with major in Psychology
  • Maintain current Driver's License
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to gain trust of patients and build a working relationship
