We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to serve as the Residency Site Coordinator for our Orthopedic Residency Program. This is an advanced career path opportunity for a Physical Therapist to partner across functional teams to elevate the practice standards of our local geography.
Responsibilities- Recruit and interview residency candidates
- Assist in regular reporting to maintain residency credentialing
- Conduct mentoring and mentor observation and evaluation
- Facilitate specialty observation with physicians and specialty providers
- Provide didactic and lab instruction and recruit and schedule other instructors to conduct didactic and lab sessions
- Clinical Responsibilities and Expectations
- Perform evaluations and establish a goal-based plan of care
- Implement regular objective reassessment points to track progress towards goal achievement and/or adjusts goals based on patients recovery trajectory
- Establish care plans aligned to ATI Best Practice guidelines, to achieve predictable and positive outcomes
- Manage caseload effectively, across the spectrum of each patients plan of care
- Effectively delegate treatment among the clinical care team
- Meet or exceed established performance expectations, including patient outcomes collection targets, scheduling practices, productivity, caseloads management, and documentation compliance
- Communicate effectively and regularly with referral sources and other relevant stakeholders in a patients plan of care
- Assist with daily clinic operational needs and tasks
- Doctorate (DPT) or Clinical BS or MS in physical therapy with five years of clinical experience
- Must have served as instructor in entry level or post professional physical therapist education
- 5+ years experience as a licensed PT in an outpatient setting
- Prior service as a residency director (OCS or SCS) or site coordinator role
- Strong cross-stakeholder partnership and collaboration skills
- Advanced presentation skills
- Persuasive and influential, a champion for clinical advancement
- Establishes self as leader for the patient care team
- Engaged, positive energy in work approach, serving as a valued team member for the clinic and district
- Designs and structures treatment plans to enable best possible patient outcomes, leveraging tools, resources and care team personnel effectively
- Delegates care amongst the care-team effectively based on case complexity classification to enable all members of the care team to practice at the top of their license
- Ability to effectively manage a care episode across a caseload of patients
- Ability to set objective and achievable goals
- Ability to adjust treatment plans based on patient outcomes data and measurable progress
- Demonstrates best practices with patient schedule management
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Team player across the clinic and district
- Flexible and adaptable to appropriately service patient needs and contribute to positive experience and outcomes
- Completes work tasks in a timely and accurate manner
- Operates with integrity ensures work contributes positively to ATIs standards and practices, all within Compliance guidelines
- Must hold board clinical certification (OCS, SCS)
- Licensed physical therapist in the state where they are serving
- FAAOMPT credential for Orthopedic residency sites
- Athletic Trainer for Sports residency sites
