Speech Language Pathologist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Elgin, IL. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language skills, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and providing direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and ensure effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided, including progress notes and IEP updates.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Illinois.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Experience in a school setting is a plus, but not required.
