Job Title: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Job Type: Full-time, Onsite

Caseload: Elementary and/or Middle

Position Overview: As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support the delivery of speech and language therapy services to students. Your role will involve assisting with assessments, implementing therapy plans, and providing individual and group therapy sessions under the guidance of an SLP. You will also collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to help students achieve their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist SLPs in conducting assessments and screenings of students with speech and language disorders.
  • Implement therapy plans and interventions as directed by the SLP.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Document and track student progress and provide regular updates to the supervising SLP.
  • Assist with the development of educational materials and resources for therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support students' communication needs in the classroom.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Current SLPA licensure or certification in Texas.
  • Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of students.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and therapy tools.
