About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Assurance Engineer III to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing cutting-edge data loss prevention solutions to protect our global infrastructure and customer data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the Data Loss Prevention Program: Develop and implement data loss prevention controls, including analysis of data, products, and usage, as well as creation and maintenance of detection logic.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Collaborate effectively with internal functional and business areas to ensure alignment with security, data, and privacy frameworks, initiatives, and policies.
  • Protect our Data: Protect the data of millions of customers, associates, and Walmart's global infrastructure through innovative problem-solving and diligent data management.
What You'll Bring
  • Technical Involvement: Assist technical initiatives, update technical configurations, and advocate for change under supervision.
  • Event Analysis: Verify the validity, context, and severity of DLP policies and events to identify trends and potential gaps.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability in DLP event data, along with suggesting updates to standard operating procedures.
  • Data Incident Identification: Identify data leak incidents not triggered by an alert/policy while reviewing DLP policies and recommend necessary changes.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience specifically in data loss prevention technologies creating and implementing new detection logic.
  • Intermediate adversarial and analytical expertise. Comfortable reviewing data to identify control gaps and recommending junior-level countermeasures.
  • Some experience building and testing regular expressions and data dictionaries under supervision.
  • Some technical acumen (enterprise, endpoint, network and/or cloud) to participate in the review of data flows, network diagrams, and other documentation for new applications and to identify appropriate data controls and locations.
