We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Grand Lake Mental Health Center. As a key member of our integrated health services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to consumers in a mental health treatment setting.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and perform nursing treatments and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of consumers, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
- Coordinate care with primary providers and maintain relationships to meet consumer needs.
- Ensure Return on Investment (ROI) is in place and current for PCPs and other service providers.
- Maintain certification in Therapeutic Options, CPR, and First Aid.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure continuity of care is delivered.
- Complete medication profiles and inventories, and document vital signs and consumer progress.
- Provide medication education and list of medications to consumers, and document pertinent information in medical records.
- Participate in daily shift reports to discuss consumer diagnosis, treatment plans, and DC plans.
- Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
- Two years of supervised experience in a mental health treatment setting preferred.
- Knowledge of psychiatric and medical nursing therapy, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with consumers, staff, management, and other professional groups.
