We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Jobot. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in our construction projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and services.
- Manage pre-construction services and activities, including design review, constructability analysis, and value engineering.
- Participate in project bidding and contractor selection processes, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices and contracts.
- Collaborate with project management teams to monitor project costs and progress.
- Provide cost advice and guidance to project stakeholders, including recommendations for cost-saving strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in construction methods, materials, and technology.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, commercial construction, general construction, construction management, design/build, cost estimation, project estimation, project bidding, and negotiation.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in managing and preparing construction project estimates and budgets.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, systems, and market trends.
- Proficient in estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
- Professional certification in estimating or a related field an advantage.
