Senior Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Jobot. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in our construction projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and services.
  • Manage pre-construction services and activities, including design review, constructability analysis, and value engineering.
  • Participate in project bidding and contractor selection processes, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices and contracts.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to monitor project costs and progress.
  • Provide cost advice and guidance to project stakeholders, including recommendations for cost-saving strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in construction methods, materials, and technology.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, commercial construction, general construction, construction management, design/build, cost estimation, project estimation, project bidding, and negotiation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing and preparing construction project estimates and budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, systems, and market trends.
  • Proficient in estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Professional certification in estimating or a related field an advantage.
