Position Summary
The Robotics Automation Specialist role is critical in our manufacturing operations. This position focuses on discovering and implementing innovative manufacturing technologies while ensuring the sustainability of existing systems. The specialist will automate manual tasks, collaborating closely with operators, vendors, and design teams. This role encompasses overseeing the construction phase and integration of equipment into production, as well as establishing preventive maintenance protocols to ensure ongoing support. Additionally, the specialist will be tasked with redesigning or replacing malfunctioning robotic components to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing, troubleshooting, and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Providing support and guidance to maintenance teams for equipment repairs.
- Managing software control for all robotic programming.
- Preparing proposals for new equipment, including design, requests for quotes, training, and documentation.
- Conducting safety training for robotic operations.
- Fabricating machine repair parts for robotic cells, including modifications and tooling acquisitions.
- Coordinating robotic training sessions through industry leaders for all technicians involved with robotic systems.
- Overseeing service visits, repairs, and rebuilds of robotic arms.
- Creating troubleshooting guides for technicians.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Industrial/Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. Employment eligibility verification will be conducted at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in controls and programming for robotics.
- Familiarity with Motoman robotics or similar robotic programming.
- Experience in engineering or manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency with 6-axis articulating arm robotics.
- Demonstrated expertise in robot programming, I/O management, and troubleshooting robotic system logic.
- Experience in diagnosing mechanical systems, including pneumatics and tooling challenges.
- Knowledge of programming in industrial ladder logic.
- Experience with Wonderware HMI software.
- Familiarity with industrial controllers.
- Basic understanding of control systems and servo mechanisms.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
