About the Opportunity
Atrium Health is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Pediatric Hospital Medicine physician to join their team of 75+ providers, serving 9 Pediatric Hospitalist locations in the greater Charlotte area.
Position Details
- The ideal candidate will have a schedule of 11 shifts at Jeff Gordon Children's Center per month, with shifts usually bundled to 3-4 days in a row.
- Responsibilities will include inpatient care, cross-coverage of an average of 12 to 20 inpatients, well baby newborn nursery, admissions to the inpatient service, and ED consults at Jeff Gordon Children's Center.
- The team consists of 2 physicians and 1 APP that round daily, with Family Practice Residents and PA students at Jeff Gordon Children's Center.
- Weekend coverage is 1 per every 3 weekends, with no home call.
- Telemedicine privileges are available.
Qualification Requirements
- Board Certification in General Pediatrics and Board Certification/Eligible in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is strongly encouraged but not required.
- Experience with lumbar puncture procedures is required.
- Experience in inpatient pediatric medicine is preferred.
