Sand Casting Specialist

Job Overview:
Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Procurement Transformation team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of sand-cast parts for our rotating and reciprocating equipment, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to drive quality improvement.

Key Accountabilities:
* Collaborate with suppliers to assess their sand-casting capabilities, audit their quality management systems, and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve supplier performance, including supplier qualification and product and process qualification (PPQ) processes.
* Analyze and address nonconformances, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sand casting, foundry engineering, or material science.
* 5+ years of professional experience as a Casting Expert, Manufacturing Engineer, or Supplier Quality Engineer with expertise in sand casting.
* Strong leadership and project management skills, with ability to lead virtual cross-functional teams.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
