About the Role:

Allina Health Cancer Center in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Hematologist to join its growing hematology program at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a clinical practice in Hematology, with focus on malignant hematology, providing inpatient and outpatient care of patients with hematologic malignancies and benign hematologic conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurse navigators, oncology social work, oncology pharmacy, genetic counseling, dietary and supportive therapies, to provide comprehensive cancer care.
  • Participate in biweekly hematology tumor boards and teach Internal Medicine residents rotating on the hematology service.
  • Develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or work flows, utilizing quality improvement tools.

Requirements:

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Hematology-Oncology fellowship training program required.
  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.
