Job Opportunity

We are a reputable and established steel fabrication shop, BWS Industries, seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication, with a focus on precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately lay out and fabricate structural and miscellaneous steel components.
  • Interpret and apply detailed fabrication drawings and blueprints to ensure precise results.
  • Perform MIG and stick welding, cutting, and burning of steel materials with precision and efficiency.
  • Work with a variety of steel products, including columns, beams, lintels, sills, clips, and plates, to meet project requirements.
  • Operate and maintain shop equipment, such as shears, brake presses, drill presses, saws, and more, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the steel construction process and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication, with a focus on precision and quality.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate results.
  • Proficient in MIG and stick welding, with the ability to pass a welding test to demonstrate skills.
  • Familiarity with basic shop equipment and tools, including shears, brake presses, drill presses, saws, and more.
  • Strong mathematical skills, particularly in measurements and layout, to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Basic computer skills for job tracking and inventory management to maintain efficiency.
  • Clean and valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving history to ensure safe transportation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including Saturdays, to meet project demands and deadlines.

Work Hours:

Core hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. Overtime, including Saturdays, may be required based on project demands and deadlines.
