Job SummaryThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) serves as a caregiver to our residents during the scheduled work period in long-term care. You will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Responsibilities- Provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
- Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant with a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 16 years of age. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred. You must be certified as a CNA with the State Board of Nursing, or be certified within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
