Comprehensive Cancer Care Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Clinician to join our team at the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with healthcare professionals in developing and reviewing standards for patient care. They will also facilitate coordination of patient care between multiple disciplines within UIHC and local communities, ensuring seamless delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing patient care plans in collaboration with nursing and medical staff.
  • Coordinating patient care to optimize utilization of supportive services, pre-scheduling testing, and following up on test results.
  • Maintaining clinical expertise consistent with patient population requirements and current nursing and medical practice.

Requirements:

  • A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is required.
  • A current license to practice nursing in Iowa is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in patient education and excellent communication skills are necessary.
  • Excellent organizational skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are also required.
