Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at Amcor Rigid Packaging. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
  • Supply necessary materials to production areas as required.
  • Remove finished goods from production areas, put production tickets on pallets, and properly store in the warehouse.
  • Use SAP to tag finished products.
  • Scan items into and out of bin locations in the warehouse to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Load and unload trucks properly, ensuring that materials loaded and/or received match the bill of lading.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior forklift experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and successfully apply SAP system.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment. The incumbent must be capable of operating a lift truck for the length of the production shift and will be required to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
