Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Planning and Operations
    • Develop and implement effective business processes and systems to ensure efficient facility operations.
    • Collaborate with management and HR to develop flexible workforce strategies for recruiting and hiring fabrication shop personnel.
  • Quality Assurance and Control
    • Develop fabrication procedures and establish clear quality standards.
    • Implement robust Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) processes to ensure all work is compliant.
  • Supply Chain and Procurement
    • Develop supply chain and procurement operations to support the fabrication facility.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise fabrication shop personnel and daily operations.
    • Assign tasks and ensure materials are available for job completion.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Focus on continuous improvement, identifying ways to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in industrial engineering, business administration, or similar.
    • 7+ years of experience in a fabrication facility making heavy structural, piping, tanks, skids, and pressure vessels, or relevant similar experience.
    • 3+ years of supervisory experience over skilled and unskilled trade workers.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Physical ability to lift and carry 25 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces.
    • Ability to learn and uphold company-specific systems, core values, policies, and procedures.
    • Effective leadership, communication, mentoring, and team-building skills.
    • Ability to promptly and professionally resolve issues using tactful communication and logical reasoning.
    • Ability to multitask and be detail-oriented.
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
    • Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines.
    • Ability to proficiently use MS Office Suite to develop presentations, correspondences, reports, and schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language and Cultural Competence
    • Bilingual (English and Spanish).
  • Industry Knowledge and Experience
    • Experience in relevant fabrication skilled trades.
    • Work experience operating under API Q1, API-4F, API-8C, and/or ASME standards.
