Position Overview
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Installing, modifying, and replacing heating systems, air conditioning units, ductwork, boilers, water heaters, and associated piping and electrical systems in compliance with manufacturer specifications and local regulations.
- Starting up installed systems and adjusting them according to job specifications.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during installation to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Educating clients on the proper operation and maintenance of installed systems, addressing any questions regarding features and functionality.
- Completing necessary documentation for each installation, including startup records, and obtaining client signatures for required paperwork.
- Exhibit a strong customer service orientation.
- Possess a solid understanding of the products and services offered, which may necessitate additional training.
- Familiarize yourself with local plan and permit requirements.
- Maintain communication with the Field Installation Supervisor throughout each project to ensure timely completion.
- Continuously enhance your knowledge of construction practices and Thermacon Service Company’s operational procedures.
- Set personal goals and develop actionable plans to achieve or exceed them.
- Regularly assess progress towards goals and seek assistance when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, vendors, and clients.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up on all installations.
- Solicit customer referrals and online recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong interpersonal skills.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications accurately.
- Order materials and supplies efficiently for job execution.
- Work effectively under time constraints and budgetary limits.
- Manage time and schedules proficiently.
- Demonstrate computer literacy necessary for job functions, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as familiarity with smartphones and email.
- Understand client needs and engage in continuous learning through various training opportunities.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
