As a Paramedic, you will provide medical care and transportation for patients at the Paramedic (EMT-P) level, adhering to the scope of practice stipulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care and transportation for patients at the Paramedic (EMT-P) level
  • Adhere to the scope of practice stipulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois
  • Collaborate with emergency medical services (EMS) teams to provide high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices

Requirements:

  • Paramedic License
  • Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification (preferred)
  • CPR Certified
  • 21 Years of age
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License
  • ACLS (Metro will train)
  • PALS (Metro will train)
  • Successfully completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
