- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify needs and develop effective care plans.
- Prepare patients for provider evaluations, including obtaining vital signs, medications, and other necessary information.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, restocking supplies and equipment as needed.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently in our electronic medical record system.
- Provide patient education and support, including lab results, medication instructions, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and referrals.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or new graduate eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam.
Experience: One year of experience in a physician office or clinic setting preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN) required. Licensure as a Radiologic Technician Limited if performing radiology. Current AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
