This role will be assigned to one of our three Steel facilities in Stark County, Ohio. As a Maintenance Service Operator, you will be responsible for performing various general labor and routine duties, including operating radio and cab cranes, driving mobile equipment from plant to plant, loading and unloading materials, cleaning and janitorial duties, shoveling and cleaning scale/sludge from equipment, cutting scrap, and assisting operating personnel in their tasks.


You may be required to operate equipment such as transporters, burning equipment, mortar mixers, steam cleaning equipment, jack hammers, power hand tools, power wheelbarrows, scrubbing machines, electric sewer cleaners, scaffolding, post hole diggers, stepladders, chains, cables, slings, saws, and grinders.



  • This position requires rotational and flexible shifts, including holidays.
  • You will work in a manufacturing environment that may expose you to extreme temperatures.
  • On-the-job training is provided.

Maintenance Service Operators must meet the following minimum requirements:



  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to drive and operate mobile equipment, including cranes, pick-up trucks, and forklifts.
  • Ability to identify and report potential safety hazards.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift between 50-75 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks and frequently walk, stand, bend, and kneel.

Preferred candidates will have at least one year of previous manufacturing or industrial work experience and prior experience in forklift and crane operation.
