Job Title: Roofing AdvisorJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Roofing Advisor to join our team at Northpoint Roofing Systems. As a Roofing Advisor, you will be responsible for selling roofing systems to customers through retail or insurance sales processes. You will also be responsible for building and fostering a network of referrals, managing sales leads, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities- Understand the basic sales process for both retail and insurance roofing sales and be able to discern when either type of sale is appropriate for a particular customer.
- Develop sales skills in retail or insurance sales if lacking significant experience in one or the other.
- Participate in weekly and daily training to improve sales skills.
- Manage leads within the company CRM software daily.
- Develop relationships with customers, manage difficult customer situations, and respond to requests for assistance in a timely manner.
- Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with customers, adjusters, vendors, and other members of the public.
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers through email, telephone, in-person meetings, and industry events.
- Document all sales activity in the database with a high degree of accuracy and correctness.
- Use marketing tools and data to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain an up-to-date calendar, be timely to appointments, and responsive to customers and co-workers.
- Collect payments.
- Attend department meetings, keep current on sales information, products, and industry trends.
- Train other sales representatives.
- Meet or exceed sales targets.
- At least 2 years of sales experience in roofing.
- Experience in both retail and insurance roofing sales preferred.
- Comfortable working with technology, including iPad-based CRM, email, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to incorporate weekly and daily training into their sales schedule.
- Ability to travel; must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills; good listener.
- Effective and professional presentation skills.
- Self-motivated; sales-driven and a team player.
- Ability to overcome objections and perform within a short sales cycle.
- Familiarity with building codes, laws, and regulations.
- Ability to safely climb stairs, set, and climb a ladder/roof.
- Familiarity with tablets, Apple iPads (iPadOS).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
