Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of our preschool children.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing educational activities for preschool children.
- Support the development of social, emotional, and cognitive skills in children.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with preschool-age children and families.
- Ability to lift at least 45 pounds and provide physical assistance as needed.
- First Aid and CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Successful completion of a Level II background screening, local criminal record check, health, TB, and drug screening prior to hiring.
