Job Summary

At Youth Villages, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Youth Therapist to join our team. As a Behavioral Youth Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing intensive treatment to children with emotional and behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Teach life skills and provide daily care to children in a residential setting.
  • Assist in developing treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs.
  • Conduct daily documentation, including contact notes, milieu notes, and precautionary notes.
  • Participate in client transports to various locations.
  • Engage in recreation therapy with children to promote social and emotional growth.
  • Implement coping skills and other therapeutic interventions to improve children's behavior.
  • Conduct group and one-on-one counseling sessions to support children's emotional and behavioral development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and afternoons/evenings.
