We are seeking a highly skilled Psychometrist to join our team at the Alabama Department of Education. As a Psychometrist, you will play a critical role in supporting the assessment and evaluation of students in our state.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment Administration: Select, administer, score, and develop reports for cognitive and social/behavioral assessments.
- Record Review and Analysis: Review student records and analyze information pertinent to assessments.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Arrange for prompt testing according to timelines set for assigned tasks.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and coordinate scheduling with school personnel.
- Score Interpretation and Reporting: May assist in the interpretation of scores as well as educational implications as part of an established team.
- Relationship Building: Establish rapport and work in a constructive, positive manner with staff and students.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficiently use technology to administer required assessments and develop reports.
- Effective Communication: Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
- Additional Responsibilities: Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Director of Special Education may, from time to time, assign or delegate.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current Alabama Teacher's Certification, master's degree or higher with an endorsement in psychometry.
